Biography:

Dexter Hu, PsyD is currently in his postdoctoral residency at Northshore Psychological Associates with a focus on neuropsychological assessment, multidisciplinary/interprofessional consultations, and psychotherapy.  He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Erie Psychological Consortium, with an emphasis on in-patient and out-patient neuropsychological assessments, brief psychotherapy, consultations with medical and psychiatric staff, psychodiagnostic triage, refugee evaluations, as well as bariatric surgery readiness evaluations.

​Originally from Hong Kong, Dr. Hu earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Prior to his doctorate, Dr. Hu received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology with a minor degree in photography and digital imaging from Carnegie Mellon University; he received his Master's of Arts degree in Psychology from Chatham University.  He had received clinical training in several university counseling centers, Allegheny General Hospital, as well as UPMC.  He is a current member of the American Psychological Association as well as the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.
