Biography:

Sue Troutner is a licensed doctoral level psychologist that that specializes in assessment and treatment of individuals who experience a change in their cognitive and memory functioning related to dementia and neurological conditions, as well as providing post-concussive care to those who have suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. She also provides psychotherapy services to those coping with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and personal stressors. Additionally, she provides neuropsychological consultative services at local hospitals, an acute care hospital, and rehabilitative hospitals, as well as an assistive and skilled care facility. 

Dr. Troutner approaches treatment from a systems perspective that considers the multiple aspects of a person’s life and circumstances to develop treatment plans and recommendations that are realistic and sustainable. This perspective of a reciprocal interaction of the mind and body, strives to provide holistic care that addresses emotional, medical and personal health.

Sue Troutner graduated from Gannon University with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at the Erie Psychological Consortium, an APA accredited internship, with rotations at Safe Harbor Behavioral Health, Northshore Psychological Associates and Health South Rehabilitative Hospital. Her post-doctoral training, focusing on continued training in neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis was completed at Northshore Psychological Associates. She has a particular interest in supervision and education and since completing her training, has served as an internship supervisor with the Erie Psychological Consortium.
